I have come to won several old Gravely convertibles. All are Model L convertible tractors except for one. I just acquired an LI sold as PARTS because the main case had filled with water & froze. The engine is next!
Seems to me the "I" in LI stood for intermediate in reference to the tractor's ground speed. So here's the question: Is the LI's "intermediate" speed faster or slower than the L? Was there and L, a slower LI and an even slower LS or was there an LH that really stepped 'em off with the L being the slowest?
