If Sears doesn't have new bushings your local machine can probably make new bushings. Before ball joints were used on vehicles they used king pins and bushings. Even though they had zerk fittings for greasing the bushing still would wear causing tire wear. I put them in a 1951 Chevy and an old mechanic told me not to remove the old bushings just drive down the old bushings with the new bushings. The same thing on the bottom and install the new king pins. These kits were available from Sears. Ball joints would wear over time as my 57 Chevy had them. Hal
