Bolens made the 800 for 3 years.
In 1963 there were two models:
186-01 with a manual start S-7D
187-01 with an electric start S-7D
In 1964 there was just 188-01 with the S-8D.
In 1965 there was the 188-02 with the S-8D
The 900 was built for two years, 1964 as the 189-01 and 1965 as the 189-02. Both had the S-8D.
1965 was also the only year that Bolens marketed the 1000 which had the Wisconsin TR10D, and had the hi-lo trans as opposed to the two belt system that the 800 and 900 used for high and low range.
1965 was also the last year for the round hoods, as Bolens went to the square hoods in 1966 when the 1050 appeared.
