hi all, i would really like some deep thought and good advice on this one. The machine is a JD 112, circa 1970, Kohler 10 horse, gas. THE PROBLEM: the engine cuts out and rpm drops right down to almost zero, then it picks back up to full throttle for about 10 seconds, then back down. It will repeat that until the fuel is gone. I thought maybe the throtle butterfly in carb was so wollarded out that it would flop sideways, causing the govenor to adjust. I held the buttefly rigid in my fingers and it still droped off, no change. But, I tried several carbs I have on hand and no difference. Machine will idle nicely at LOW RPM for 30 minutes with NO funny stuff. So, I think the fly weights on the govenor are finely wollard out and will not hold setting. Any thought? I really appreciate any comments or advice. thanks 300 dave
