jw,
If it is a 1966 and has an angle iron frame, it is
a Ford 120. They came with nice 42" aluminum
decks.
The LGT series did not come out 'til '72 and they
were constructed with a tube frame and had steel
decks. Both series were made by Jacobsen and are very fine tractors; extremely durable.
In any event, I assume yours is a Ford 120 as the
LGT-120 would have a regular enclosed steering
gearbox rather than open gears.
I know I have one of those shafts with the gear
but it may take me awhile to find it as it is in
the "lower forty" and covered with snow.
I cannot recall whether or not I have an original
ignition switch but they were nothing special and
many aftermarket switches will fit.
Is yours a Hydro?
Are you anywhere near New York State? I am getting
up there in age and I am finally beginning to
realize that I have many more projects than years
left to live. LOL
I could make you a good deal on a few Ford tractors and
parts from that era if you think you might be
interested.

Today's Featured Article - Sunday Drives - by Cowboy. Summer was finally upon us here in Northern Maine. We have two types of industry up here, one being "Forestry" (Wood Products) and the other "Farming" (Potatoes). There is no shortage of farm tractors and equipment around here! I have been restoring old Farm Tractors for the past 6 years, and have found it easier and less expensive to hit all the auctions and purchase whole tractors for parts needed. My wife who works at a local school, and only has weekends and summers off, while on t ... [Read Article]
