I'm putting this tractor back together after about a year and I've got these two rods left. I'm almost sure the small one goes on it but I'm not sure about the other one. I need a really good knowledgeable J D guy to help me out. I don't know of any other ones in my area to look at. I went to the dealer and we looked at every page on his computer parts list to no avail. I've got an operators manual for it but not a parts manual. I'm also having trouble with the variator not working. Every thing under there looks good. I've had it apart, made sure the pulley center will slide back and forth, put on both new John Deere belts and adjusted it according to the manual. I doesn't feel like its hooked to anything when you operate the lever back and forth. I have this spring left also but I thought it might go on the 48" deck. The decks back where I can't readily get at it to assemble it so I'm not sure. Any ideas?? Thanks Irv PS looks like my picture posting needs some work too. Couldn't figure out how to get rid of three of them without starting over!!
