Thanks for your comments. Block, other than the cracks mentioned previously, appears to be good. I purchased the tractor knowing that it had been run overheated and that I would have to do dome work on it.The head is cracked in several places beyond repair. Question still remains on the block cracks at the cyl head stud holes. The engine was still a runner when it was last used and shut down 2 years ago. The person that I purchased it from passed away two weeks ago so i can not get any more questions answered. The tractor , if I continue to restore it, will only be used as a show tractor so I think that the block cracks will be ok. I had a heavy equipment mechanic give his opinion and he said that he thought that the cracks would not be a problem Thanks, Milt from North Carolina, USA
