I would post it on Ebay. I have seen a regular Major go for $400-500 in rare cases, but I have also seen them go for $1500 - $2000 unrestored. Super Majors and Dextas seem to bring more money. There are better authorities than I on this site when it comes to price. I guess it all depends on how badly somebody wants it. Without seeing the tractor it is difficult to determine the price. Is it complete? Any blow-by? Does it start easily? Cluth and gears ok? Does the three point lift as it should? Just a couple questions people might ask. Also, does it have a loader or come with any attachments? If you are in PA, I might be interested. I hope I helped a little. Hang in there, and someone on this site will give you a better idea of price. Hopefully you will be able to get whatever you decide to ask for it, and your father will be able to keep his home. God bless.
