George Hello, I read your post, and I think you answered a question for me (thanks). I have a 2000 with the 4 cylinder engine that was overhauled just for I got it about 5 yrs. ago, Has great oil pressure 50-40. But it is slow to build pressure like yours. It has the spin on adapter like yours. I went out today and took the filter off to make sure the drain hole was at the top. It was so that was ruled out. My son had a pickup doing the same thing and we found that a FRAM PH43 filter has a built in check valve that works good and fixed his problem. By chance there was a new one in my shop and it fits my tractor with the adapter. I put it on and changed the oil. Run it to temp. and let it set for 3 hours and it started building pressure as soon as it started. I will let it set for a week and post how it worked after setting.
