Replaced the points but did you clean them before installing them. Now day many companies coat to point so they do not go bad on the shelve. Remove the cap rotor and dust cover and turn the ignition on and make sure you have spark at the point by opening them by hand. Be careful or you will find the spark the ouch way. If you do not have spark at the points clean them with the flap from the box they came in. By the way gap them to 0.025. You might also try to hot wire it you may have burned out the ignition switch
