I have a 76 Ford 231 Diesel that I mow grass with. I have to drive about two miles on a road with an 80km/h speed limit, and I have to cross a divided highway to reach a friends place.
Last night I drove there and back and I sure wished I had a rear view mirror, as sometimes traffic seems to sneak up on me.
Has anyone installed a rear view mirror? I have a drivers door mirror from some GM product, dated 1979. It even has the remote with it (mechanical) so I can adjust it if necessary. Thinking of bolting it to the engine lid, just in front of the fuel tank.
Any possible issues with this? I hate to drill a few holes in it and then find out this just isn't what I want. The fender shakes too much, but the engine lid seems steady.
