I recently purchased a rebuilt holly carb for my 3 cylinder gas tractor backhoe from yesterdays tractor. When it arrived, I put it on and the first time I cranked it gas poured out of the carb.I thought the float was stuck, took it apart and it was free, and closing the needle.I noticed that the small spring on the float shaft was missing.I put it back on as the float was not stuck and moved up freely.Gas poured out again.I contacted yesterdays and sent it back.It was taken all apart,a new spring put on,checked out,and sent back.I put it on again and it flooded but not as bad as before.I don't see any reason for this happening.I even changed the fuel filter before the gas enters the carb. The problem appears to be the carb.If the needle and float are free and working, how can it still be flooding? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Marc
