Really need some help from the clutch veterans. On a '73 3000 dual clutch job, trying to set the height of the 3 bolts on release levers. Already have the .054 gap set. The book says to set 2.110 from PTO hub to top of bolt head. I have the 3 bolts as far out as I can and I am at 1.750. I am measuring to the raised portion of PTO hub with splines. Do I measure to the lower portion of hub? As an alternative I tried measuring from bell housing face to throwout bearing and got 8 9/16 when bearing is pushed all the way back against stop. My plan was to set the 3 bolts to 8 3/8 from block, giving me a 3/16 gap between bolts and release bearing. The current height of the 3 release bolts at engine side is 6 1/2 from engine block. Seems like there is no way to make this work. Could use some pointers. I have both the IT manual and factory manual.
