I've driven past this farm a few times a year for 8+ years, and have often thought about stopping in to see if he'd sell any of his Fords (knew of 3 - 3000, 6000 and 9600). Had a chance at all 5 today, as everything sold. Didn't buy a tractor, or anything else. I'll just post some pictures now, and prices later tonight or in the morning. There was a 960 that "ran at one time". Sold just how you see it - no tires, rims or centers, manual steering, one 3-point arm missing. But the engine IS loose. 671D w/ 1 arm loader and original bumper. Ran nice, but couldn't move the SOS shifter at all. Also a fist sized hole in one rear rim by the valve stem. 6000 diesel. It's been sitting in the pasture as long as I can remember. No muffler or precleaner, or anything to cover their openings. Couple welds on the front axle. 3000 diesel/8-speed. Needs a starter and grill. And maybe injectors or injection pump or rings, as is has a pretty bad miss. Newer rear rims and one new front tire. 9600 - Nice tires all around, sounded good, maybe smoked a bit much, like it had been turned up (but nothing there would have needed more power). Worst things about it were a welded rear hub and modified 3-point. I have a few more pictures, if anyone wants to see them, but figured this was enough for one post.

As a novice though I didn't appreciate the fact that there were so many Fordson tractors made, that all the other makes seem rare by comparison. As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
