Looking for opinions on the Ford 1600. What should one look for on something like this? Are there parts issues with this model? There is one going up for auction at an estate sale this weekend near me, the only tractor in the sale. It has turf tires in decent condition, 2 cyl. diesel and around 2,000 + hours on the meter. Looks a bit rough but not too bad. I've not heard it run. It appears to have been used with a 3pt finish mower, a blade and a tiller (these are in the sale too). Value? Tractor house dot com has just a few, from $2,500 up to $5K + with loader. Would a used loader be hard to find?
Sorry for all the last minute questions, my experience is with a 9N and 8N, haven't dealt with a diesel since the Fordson Dexta we had back on the farm (40 some years ago!).
