I posted a couple days ago about the 12v - 6vcoil dilemma. I think I finally got that straight in my head. So, here"s what I did: New plugs, points, condenser. Eliminated the 6v block and ran a straight 12v to a new napa coil (forget the number but it was theone recommended here). Rebuilt the carburetor with a new kit after soaking overnight in cleaner and blowing out all openings with air. My original problem was that it would only run for a few seconds (30) or so with the choke fully on, then die. Could not get it to run without full choke and could not get it to run with virtually every combination of air/ fuel adjustment. The Marvel only has the two that I am aware of. Now after all that it runs EXACTLY the way it did prior to my efforts! What have I missed?!
