Hello Jim , It is odd that the Trans. is a different color than the rest , yet with the exception of the engine block everything fits correctly as far as the date codes and the model number and options go . When Ford was building the Heavy Duty Industrial Forkilft based on the 1801 / 4040 / 4140 tractors many of the Forklift components came from a company called Marshall , when Ford stopped building the Forklifts and sold the power train skid units to Marshall and they completed them they would add a number above the serial number just like that , I assume as a serial number or a unit number to there finished product . One such Forklift happens to be Number 362 over Model # 41400S over Serial # 52884 with a Radiator dated 3/64 which was a Gas 4 speed Reverser 4140 H D Industrial tractor which is also very close to your tractor but I have never seen a Forklift built on a Light Duty Industrial Tractor but could have been stamped wrong ? or something from another manufacturer ? But that is generally what the number means in most cases . Thanks Tony
