I noticed that there are two adjusting screws in the engine block just below the injection pump and towards the front side of the engine. Both screws are wire tied with a lead seal. What are they for? I have an IT manual for my 1310 tractor and nowhere in the manual does it show or talk about the screws. I have the front cover off of it and the govenor exposed. The bottom screw is a stop for the govenor. The top screw is long and has a special spring on the end of it. It reminds me of a buffer screw for a Detroit engine. It looks to me like it is only to be adjusted if the front cover has been distrubed? How is it adjusted? Who made this 3 cyl. engine for Ford?
