I've never installed EI on a Hundred Series. I did install and it on a 3 cylinder tractor and ran ran it for nearly 7 years. There have been Many arguments over the years - both here and on the Ford N Series board about the value of EI. You would do well to use the search box at the top of the page and read some of them. Some pretty smart folks here - some with degrees in electrical engineering even have weighed in and made some very convincing arguments on why EI may or may not be better than a good set of points. I'm not an engineer. But I'm convinced that EI made my tractor start and run better though I have no scientific proof of that. I also secretely believe that Marvel Mystery oil works better than Auto Transmission Fluid for freeing up stuck pistons in an engine. I am also thouroughly convinced that big breasts save lives. But I have found no proof of that either.
