working on a 641 and the brakes and cluch both seem to work fine, however none of the peadals has much spring tension. all the pedals can be raised a couple of inches by hand more than they return by themselves. i was told a new clutch was put in the tractor not long before i got it and it shifts and pulls fine, but it just does not seem like there is as much pedal movement (as compared to a farmall 140 that i am used to). the brakes almost seem like the pads lightly rub the drums and the pedal pressure just tightens the bands around them and very little spring pressure to push pedal up. is this normal? one last question on a different subject with the same tractor. i noticed for the first time today what appears to be a stich weld mark on the front left side of the block right above the oil pan. it is not built up like a normal weld and appears to have been there a long time. i don't see any leakage and the engine purrs like a kitten. any thoughts?
