Couple of Pictures - Hope you can see the tube.
The fuel line goes forward out of the shut off valve for about 6-8 inches, then makes a 180 degree bend and back the 6-8 inches. Then it takes a 90 degree bend and goes down behind the muffler and through the manifold to attach to the back side of the sediment bowl.
You need take the tank off and attach the tube to the shut off valve. I goes on a slight angle. Then lower the tank down and thread through the manifold and attach to the sediment bulb. A second set of hands really helps.
BTW, the rubber tube old mentioned - I think that was on later 601 series tractors. I think all the 600 series used steel tube all the way. I know my 55 - 660 is all steel
Hope this makes some sense - kinda hard to put into words and harder yet to get a good picture of.
