Hello Rick , 3 sentences is not a lecture and I have no idea what your knowledge is either or even how long you have been around equipment but the poster did not even realize his ring was not fully seated and while the danger of being hurt is not very high because of the low amount of air pressure in his tire he still should know about it and the correct type of rim he has . While some guy who doesn't know better changing a tire on a Lock Ring Rim may not be a big deal but the same guy changing a tire on a true split rim it could also be his last tire change for life , joining the guys we already have known killed by these rims . There is still plenty of homemade farm trailers out there with these type of rims on them and if one guy sees that and says I wonder if those are the killer rims he just may live to see another day .
