I have an electronic conversion on an tractor that I would like to switch over to a runner. I do now know much about them and would like to have some idea of what I am doing before I go out and fry myself up some electronics.
The facts. EI tractor runs really well. Is 12 volt. There is a resistor mounted right by the coil.
I presume. The reisistor means that the coil is 6volt. I can just switch resistor forward to the receiving tractor as it was 12 volt also, but points.
From what I gleaned in the archives, if I get a different 12 volt coil, I would not need the resistor? I could not understand that as I thought that would still give too much volts or ohms or jules or stuff to the EI distributor and fry it.
