My Simms inline pump on a 3000 has no thermostart. The other tractors have distributor (CVA...I think it's CVA or something like that....been awhile since I looked it up) injector pumps and they have thermostart. The Simms pump has a fuel enrichment function rather than thermostart that essentially floods the engine with diesel to get it going then after a few seconds it kicks out and the pump acts normal....well sorta. I like the CVA rotaries best. Mark
