Just thinking this over I realize this may come out wrong so please excuse me if this sounds bad but here goes............................. Why are you stuck on this Independent PTO???? You do realize that live PTO is just as good for running a brush cutter. Where did you come up with this smaller than a 7000???? You could plow a hundred acres with a tractor that size. Like I told you before the only thing with Independent PTO is a SOS trans or a 8 speed 5000. A 5000 is almost 70 HP and is still to big for light work and cutting 4 acres. So that leaves you with a SOS trans. That would be a 671/681/2000 all about 30-35 Hp. Then there is the 3000 about 36 hp 871/881/4000 about 45 HP. I personally do not like the SOS because parts are hard to find and they are just not for me. (Every thing I own is standard shift. Even the wife's car) Now if you can live with live PTO you can open your search to include the 660/661/860/861 all with a five speed and some of the 8 speed 2000/3000/4000's (The 8 speed comes both ways. Live and not live PTO)
