Hi folks, Pete ,my neighbor, aquired a tractor, the hood decal says "FORD 2000 LCG". It is painted cream (yellow?) on the sheetmetal, fenders and rims/centers, the body is Ford red. It has a four cylinder gas engine, three speed Sherman with a four speed tranny, live pto and the three point hitch with draft/position control. It has power steering, both hand and foot throttles and a one armed bucket loader with hydraulic lift and tilt. It has 13 inch turf tires up front and 10 by 24 inch duals with traction tires mounted on the rear. The seating arrangements are open air with the additional comforts of an upholstered seat bottom and back, not the bare iron butt bucket I am used to seeing on a tractor. The tractor model numbers are: . 203 1 3 S serial number: <> 164698 <> The bucket component numbers are: I9-278 serial number: II55 I looked up the serial/model numbers on "Antique Tractors " but I must not understand all of the breakdown for the model #, and the serial # would appear to be at the end of the Hundreds series tractor numbers. The serial number does have diamonds stamped before and after the number sequence. We would like to know what it really is, how to extract the information from the model/series identification guide, then order books for both tractor and loader. I hope to post some pictures in the near future and share some tractor stories, untill then Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, Alex.
