Tractor was like this when I got it. I was planning on eventually getting an OEM style switch to replace the push/pull ignition control it has now and redoing the wires but something came loose and killed my ignition.
Not sure what the thing in the middle of the pic is. Is that a ballast resistor? I thought maybe a 12v to 6v voltage reducer but it has 12+ on each side according to my voltmeter so I'm guessing ballast resistor. Wires on one side go to the coil, the other side has 2 wires, one goes to the ignition switch, the other goes around to the other side of the engine and is hanging loose, the only thing I see it could have gone to is the alternator so I'm guessing that's where it went but I really don't know.
I can start the tractor and have it run by running a jumper wire from the battery + terminal to the ignition switch side of that doodad in the picture.
I've got a wiring diagram of sorts but it's for a + ground 6v system which if my tractor ever had, it doesn't now. [/img]
