I'd do exactly the same again as I've already done on my TEA20:
1. New wiring loom, available from Bareco around $60.
2. Move earth lead from dash to block.
3. Generator and starter overhaul or at least a check. The Lucas generator was fine for Old Harry, worked for 50 years, given me no problems, no reason to change to an alternator.
4. Pertronix Igniter and Pertronics 40 KV coil - a must!! Around US$100 including freight.
5. Make sure every electrical connection is clean and good.
6. Make sure you have a good battery.
Changing the generator for an alternator is a very expensive way to put off replacing a tired battery!
