Has it been THAT long? And I STILL haven't done it! Actually, I am kinda ashamed to admit it but my TO-30 hasn't been started in four years now. I was having starting problems and was fixing to give it a major tune up in 2010 when my wife died unexpectedly, and I haven't messed with it since. But this spring should take care of the situation. If you refer to the pictures on the original post, there is one close up that should make easy to duplicate the set up. You could use a Dearborn bumper, Ferguson, (if you can find one) or assemble one from scratch. About all you need is a good hacksaw, drill, and welder. (Or a very good friend with same). As stated in the original post, mine has a Dearborn, or Ford, bumper on it that someone extended a few inches, but it still doesn't allow the hood to open properly, so modification to the swing away model is sorely needed. I am just glad that mine had a bumper on it when I bought it! To me, a front bumper is not only necessary, but it improves the appearance of the tractor.
