the first picture is with the blade all the way out, second picture is with the blade all the way in.
I replaced the pitman many years ago, I bought it at the MF dealer for the mower, but it may have been a universal, at the time I did not know about register of the blade to the guards.
I do have the original manual that came with the mower when dad bought it new in about 1960.
if the blade will completely cover the guard at any one point in its rotation cycle, then would that not be the same as full register,
just would not happen the full stroke.
grandkids coming today, so I cannot work on it anymore. I parked it in the back of the tool shed, so they will not get around it.
I need to form a blade guard for it, as my grand daughter always wants to ride little Fergy. and she gets what she wants from grandpa!!!!
