My 1953 TEA20 turns 60 today!! The transmission casting is dated 3 July 1953, engine block dated 1 July 1953 and John (UK) was kind enough to identify Fergy rolled off the production line on 10 July 1953.
I was nine when Fergy was produced. I have owned the tractor since 1986 and used it to clear my acreage, level for my house pad, bore verandah post holes and a multitude of tasks.
For the last couple of years, Fergy sat in the shed whilst I restored my 1993 Jaguar XKE/E Type and tinkered with the Joseph Lucas electrical nightmare in my 1993 Jaguar XJ40.
Now the restoration of Fergy has restarted and is nearing completion within a few days. We're all going into retirement and Fergy will only be worked on Club field days!
What a wonderful machine Harry Ferguson developed!
Aside from two Jaguars and Fergy, here is my other retirement toy:
Sea Ray 290 with two 260 HP Mercruiser V8's.
Any of you ever visiting Australia you will be very welcome to come share my toys!!!
