After to do everything Jerry said, and if it still doesn't go, get a helper you don't like. You put switch on, so there's voltage to the coil, crank the starter while he holds one spark plug wire a foot or so away from the plug. He slowly moves the wire closer to the plug as you are cranking, at a certain point, he will get zapped- the tractor will run on 3. Turn off the ignition, put the wire back on the plug and have a good laugh at your friend. Oh, btw, not someone with a heart condition... seems a brand new coil sometimes need to get ??? energized? polarized?? Worked for me twice so far. But sort of a last resort....
