Picked up the TO-30 Sunday and had a chance to check it out. Was going to start on the manifold yesterday but noticed milky oil coming out of the hole in the clutch housing where the cotter key is. Today I drained the transmission/hydraulic sump and filled with new oil. Ran the tractor around the acreage for about 15 minutes, pulled it back in and checked the gear lube level. Pulled the bottom bolt on the inspection plate and added a little more until it started to run out. The hole with the cotter key was leaking pretty good, about 3 or 4 drips a minute. How much is involved to change the seal between the transmission and clutch? Here is a close-up picture of the tractor, you can see I have my work cut out for me without any additional problems. Might have to put the whole thing on hold for the summer.
