Yesterday I flew over to Devon England to attend the funeral of Harold Beer. Harold was a real dedicated Ferguson man... right to the very end. His coffin was brought to the Brethern church on a Ferguson 30 cwt trailer towed behind his first little grey Fergie. We were greeted with a powerpoint presentation of his photos with his family and of course his tractors and his dog, called 'Massey'. All during the service the preacher kept refering to tractors and tractor repairs...The second hymn was altered to include the words Massey and Ferguson and Harold was laid in his coffin in his trademark Massey Ferguson Boiler-suit(cover-alls) and work boots. He had time to arrange this all himself and was buried on his own farm....towed there of course by his Ferguson. Many of the mourners also wore the Ferguson or MF logo either discretely in the form of a button or neck-tie or just in Massey Ferguson Boiler-suits. A very fitting tribute and send off to a very nice man. Sam
