Check the Draft Spring at the back of the seat for too much free play (in and out)(You should just be able to turn the spring between your finger and thumb when you lift the plow) When you are plowing, check that the Rocker to which the Top Link is connected is actually moving and is not frozen or the tractor cannot sense the Draft signals from the plow. Is the oil good and clean and of the correct grade (Use Multi-grade 10W/30 now as it is better in cold weather and all year around) If the oil is too thick it would make the Control Valve stick and you could lose traction. The oil should look green color not milky or golden and it should not smell of sulfur. Are the rear tires too hard, use 12psi at the most at this time of year, if it is wet, drop the pressure to 10psi. From how you describe it to me it would seem that the Control Valve is sticking for one reason or another, it is not working as it should do as you have found out. Check all this and if you are still having problems, please email me direct at the address below and give me the info again and tell me what you have done and I will send you the info you need to repair it, with some pictures so you know what you are trying to do..John(UK)..fergusontractors@hotmail.com
