Ammeter is in series, I don't think it's working, it does nothing with the turn of the key. It just bobbles around with the vibration of the engine. I do not think my alternator is charging. The original looking voltage reg is not connected to anything. The 2 large wires coming from the alt both are connected to the pos side of the starter relay,(that can't be right) the smaller wire goes to the acc on the switch. I have 12.4 volts off no load, 12.2 volts running. I'm sure the battery will drain down while running. Most of the wiring diagrams suggested show a voltage reg or control box. Do I need to get a voltage reg or am I missing something with my current setup?
