I just recently sent an e-mail to a subject that was selling a John Deere 3020 advertised as having new paint, one rear hydraulic outlet with 15.5.8 rears in fair condition, wide front,3pt hitch and power steering. In the e-mail I only requested information on the tractor and if they were willing to work on the price. I received a e-mail from St.Tr.T<tacstrk@msn.com>
In the e-mail the suject stated that he had the shipping company ready to ship the tractor and that all I had to do was sent a money gram in the amount of $2,500.00 to the shipping co. www.expressautocar.com in the name of a relative such as father, mother or brother and then he would send scanned papers with a tracking number. Once I received the tractor and was happy with the purchase, I was to change the money gram into the sellers name. When I checked the e-mail sent to the seller johnculg@hotmail.com it was different from the reply e-mail that I received. I went back through the tractors for sale on YT and discovered that the ad had been pulled. I can not remember exactly were that ad was placed from but I believe the tractor was advertised from Michigan. If you have read my profile on YT you know that I'am a police officer. I'm currently investigating the same type of scam that was used on one of our residents at e-bay for a vehicle were the buyer sent the seller over $10,000 and the buyer did not receive the vehicle. The person that is advertising this tractor will more thay likely repost this ad at some point and they certainly fit the profile of a scam artist. Respectfully,
