Several people have told me the C200 of the 544 is just a unsleaved H motor. It may have been developed from the H but there are some real differences. The distrubiter is a vertical unit on the left side. The intake and exhaust are on the right. The cam is on the left. The crank has 5 mains and twin counterballancers below. The block is ribbed like a C221. This makes me think it has more in commin with the six cylinder motors. The easiest way to figure this out is for someone with an H to measure the distances between the sparkplugs as this will give you the bore spacing, and I will go out and measure both the 544 and my 460. kev
