Bought one for my dad at a school surplus auction 12-15 years ago for $1,800. Someone had poured fresh anti freeze into the oil filler, but not run the engine, so it was still bright green. I believe they were trying to scare off other sealed bidders. We changed the oil and have not had any problems with it. It has a Woods 59 inch belly deck. Mows good, not a lot of power though. Big fat tires make for a comfortable ride.
I would say that $1,500-$2,000 range would be about right here in North Carolina. I have seen some bring more though, in the $2,500 range.
