Hi, I recently replaced the rings in my M, and I tried to use the starter after the replacement but it wouldn't turn the engine over fast enough. I just assumed that the lose bolt that the wire attached to was making a bad connection. I have tried replacing the starter on the M with the starter on my H, which works fine. I assumed that this would fix the problem but the H starter acts just like the starter on the M. I put the starter from the M onto the H and it worked perfectly. Are the new rings just to tight for a starter to crank the pistons over, or is their something wrong with both starters?
