Thanks for the replies. I finally got it apart after about 2 hours of screwing with it. The "tang" was broken off and the retainer was not turning with the head. Finally got the retainer split and got the pieces out. Piston is scored a little in one spot but the barrel cylinder looks pretty good. Where the head and barrel meet is rusted some and rough - I am thinking I need to smooth this up so I don"t damage the new seals.
