Unless you are planning a road trip that passes near the online tire dealer anyway, or can manage to work out some other rare deal, any savings by shopping online will disappear as soon as you pay the freight company.
Plus, if you don't plan on installing them yourself, you may find that the local tire dealer will either refuse to install them for you, or charge you a premium price. They're protecting their business, something our country should be doing more of.
