Someone on here had, an 806 I believe it was, that the new hydraulic pumps went right back out of it. After having the oil sample he pulled at that time come back as "depleted" (or something similar) he sent in a sample of the new el-cheapo oil and it came back nearly as bad.

I don't know about their tractor fluid (I've only looked at it), but the Wal-Mart house brand 'Super-Tech' auto fluids have a pretty good reputation. I use their synthetic motor oil in several cars, and my used oil analyses come back just fine.

But, as food for thought, here is the CIH propaganda on why Hy-Tran Ultra is better.third party image

From: http://hytranman.com/hytran_specs.php

Ultra is a synthetic and I believe it is all that CIH sells these days. I don't know the answer; I have been using NAPA UTF that meets Hy-Tran Plus specs and it seems to work fine in my 140.

For the record, back in the 80's I bought a pail of 5 gal. Hy-Tran from the dealer. I had the bucket for a long time and eventually the Hy-Tran label peeled off to reveal a Shell Donax TD label. There was also a shipping label from CIH to the dealer, so it was not something my dealer did on his own. That's when I switched to NAPA UTF. That bucket is still my misc. bolt bucket. Darn good bucket.
