The Red neglected me in a damp barn for the last year. He decided to try to start me yesterday and I was determined not to run. First I let my battery run down. So he charged me for 1 1/2 hours so I could crank. Then I wouldn't fire. So he pulled the distributor cap and found corrosion on the distributor posts and rotor. He cleaned that up and I still wouldn't fire. So he pulled the points and found corrosion and pitting on them. He took a file and cleaned them up and reset at .019. I fired right up. But I was bound and determined not to move. So I had my clutch plate stuck to the flywheel. The Red idled me and jammed it in first gear with the clutch pedal depressed. Durn if the clutch pedal pulled off the flywheel and everthing was working. So he ran me for an hour and paraded around the farm. Look for the little things after sitting for a year.
