Richard Lantis, now deceased, a IH dealer in the 70's and 80's, also son af a IH dealer gave me the serials--he was an expert on those tractors and virtually every other IH tractor. The serials are the first 3 calendar months of 1950 Cub, Super A, C. It is not known whether all were painted white, but nearly all were, possibly with a break or two in those 3 months. Richard drove a white C to a customer at the age of 10 or 12 and was told by his dad to drive in 3rd, he used 4th and almost rolled it going into the customers driveway. Yes you need the serial, casting codes and white under red. Since dealers don't do much when they repaint, things like the front and rear of the battery box, inside the tool box, valve cover, etc are good indications. My restored 1950 white C (it is red now) had all those indications. The one in the ad is horribly over priced, white paint is the only difference.
