Same here ... only I am using the Majik rattle can IH red for those odd little braces and hangers under the cover.
It reminds me of the old epoxy paint .. takes like 3-4 days to cure well but it does hold tight with good coverage.
Once I move onto the sheet metal and frame I will be far more critical and start using a loaded spray gun and hardener. I like the glossy shine it leaves.
