Neighbor has old Farmall tractor that is either a 300 or 350. I am thinking of buying it but wanted to know which it is. He is a scrap man and just got it. On the serial # plate all I can read is 554. Looking on tractor data this serial # could be for a '54 300 or a '56 350. The grill is white like a 350 but the one hood side it does have has no white. I know many 300s were painted like the 350s. Has no battery and it was almost dark when I looked at it this evening so not sure if it is 12V or 6V. Of course that could have been changed also. How else can I figure out which it is? He says it runs good and drives. It is worth $500? Tires are not so good but hold air. Has fast hitch with 3pt arms and drawbar.
