I haven"t been around the forum for a while because my life took a major turn of events a couple weeks ago. Once again I got laid off in mid August just like I have the past couple years. While in the middle of taking advantage of getting the time to spend on the tractor I got a call about going to NY to work. (I live in NW MO and work in KC- Plumbers Local 8). I had thought about it for a few days thinking it was a few weeks away. Friday night the 12th I got a call at 8:30 pm telling me to go if I wanted. At that point I hadn"t even packed a bag. Made a mad rush of throwing some clothes together and was on the road at 2:30 am on Saturday. I"m working in Malta at a micro chip plant owned by Global Foundries. From what I understand when this facility is complete it will be the largest of it"s kind in the world. So as you can imagine the old F-12 will sit for a while. This was an opportunity I could not pass up. It"s tough being away from family but we"ll work things out. The money I"m making will change things for us for a long time. Plus I"ll have a nice little stash to hold back for my little projects!
