It does have the Hiniker cab, which definately makes it worse. As far as the muffler goes, the noise doesn't come from the exhaust, it's right from the engine itself. The exhaust noise is not bad at all. We also have a cabless 666 that is very loud in the same way. Although it is quieter to operate being it doesn't have the cab. But no kidding, ear plugs and muffs with 32 rating and my ears are still ringing when I'm done. We have a 1066 with a cab that is much quieter, the difference is huge even standing next to the tractors when running. The 666 is just loud. I've heard the Noisebuster muffs cut out alot of the engine noise. Anybody use them? Thanks so much for the replies.
