Mornin' folks.
pblack has posted a ? about his problem finding a place for tractor restoration near Houston, TX; now if he lived near Houston, Minnesnowta...
Seems I recall folks posting about having a local FFA class project of their tractor. They may do engine work, other mechanicals and/or painting depending on their skill level. The teacher (I guess they call them instructors now) should have all work 'checked off' to see it is correct, regarding tolerances for rings/bearings, correct wiring, muffler bearings properly sized, etc. The owner makes a contribution to the FFA chapter and pays for all parts.
Another suggestion is if a local engine club/steam and gas club, whatever the term may be; would be interested/have the expertise/interest here would be something they may enjoy. Or, it may provide the club with a new member...namely YOU (whoever you may be) as a tractor/gas engine; old stuff hobbyist may be. Just my thoughts this morning from beautiful SW Wisc. 15 degrees with cloudy skies; a fresh three-four inch snowfall to clear...which means some Farmall seat time!!!
